Many people have reported that updating their iOS and watchOS did the trick. You might be using an outdated version. Please try updating first. The current watchOS version is 6.1
After updating, if it's not available to install by the iPhone's "Watch" app (it should be at the very bottom of the screen), try to restart both of your devices. Keep in mind that bluetooth has to be active to install the app on your Watch.

Restarting both devices often works wonders for freshly-installed apps. If that doesn't help, don't hesitate to message me via the app's email button. I'm quick to reply. As it's the app's first version, errors might occur. Please report those to see them fixed in the next update :)
You will see status messages below the "load" button - those might include instructions as to what to try next to get the connection back working.
